Hello
One of the most important factors in getting value out of therapy is the strength of the therapeutic bond you can form with your therapist. Because of that, it's important that you work with someone you can connect with and trust - so, I value sharing a bit about myself in order to help you make that decision.
My Story
I have always been interested in understanding people and fostering understanding between people. In my high school and college years, I worked as a peer counselor in my communities, as well as in Stanford's psychology research lab. I found a deep appreciation in being able to connect with others, in particular in their hardest times.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the tech social impact space for about 15 years. This gives me a perspective on the challenges that come along with work in the corporate world - a fast pace, and achievement focus, and a pull to pour yourself into a company's vision, even when it leaves little for your own peace and happiness. I can empathize with experiences of burnout, imposter syndrome, and existential questions that arise in these environments.

Motivated by own experience with grief at a young age, I spent over 5 years building programs to offer social connection and research-backed practices to support people who are grieving, as well as breaking some of the stigma and silence around talking about life's greatest challenges. I know how isolating and disorienting grief can be, and I believe that while we may never "go back" to become the person we were before, we can move through grief and find a new normal that holds both our pain and our love.

In my personal life, I am a mother to two small children. I know firsthand the seismic shift that accompanies becoming a parent, and I am honored to have the opportunity to walk alongside parents throughout their perinatal journey.

A Lamorinda resident, I enjoy the outdoors whether that looks like going for a run, taking my dog for a hike, or soaking in outdoor summer concerts. I love live music and good food, so have no trouble keeping busy in the East Bay.
